The Blessing of Waiting on God and Learning to Wait
Waiting on the Lord is one of the greatest lessons of faith I have learned. I have learned that waiting on God is not always easy. In a world that teaches us to seek instant answers, there are moments when I want answers, direction, and change right away. Instead, God teaches us the beauty of patience and trust, reminding us that those quiet seasons of waiting are not wasted.
The waiting season reveals what is in our hearts. It teaches us to depend on Him rather than on our own understanding and reminds us that His ways are higher than ours. When I cannot see what He is doing, I can still trust who He is.
God is working behind the scenes, strengthening my faith, shaping my character, and preparing me for what He has planned.
God is not just preparing the blessing; He is preparing us. The waiting season may feel slow, but it is never empty. Every prayer, every tear, and every moment of surrender matters. The process matters because it builds the faith, character, and strength we need for the journey ahead.
I am learning that God’s delays are not His denials. His timing is perfect, and His faithfulness never fails. So, if you are waiting today, do not lose hope. Keep seeking God, keep trusting His promises, and remember that His timing is always perfect.
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31
thank you for this wonderful inspiration Douglas. The waiting season can feel painful but we know God is all we have . Be strengthened as you await the manifestation.
God bless you!
Hmmm thank you for your wonderful message God bless you for encouraging me I really love it
This is so beautiful and deeply grounding.
There is something sacred about learning to trust God when there is no evidence yet that anything is changing.
Sometimes the waiting season feels like silence, but God is never absent in the silence.
May we never become so desperate for the promise that we miss the God who is shaping us in the process. May our faith remain anchored not in when He answers, but in who He is!!
Our God is not late. He is intentional.
This really touched me. 🙏 There have been times when I’ve wondered why God was taking so long to answer, only to realize later that He was doing something in me that I couldn’t see at the time. Waiting has taught me that faith isn’t always about having answers—it’s about staying close to God when there are none. I’m still learning to trust His timing, but I’m grateful for what He teaches me in the waiting. ❤️
